One of the most common tasks in the LearnLive system is identifying a program or a number of programs. The search function makes this easy.
Contents |
Quickly finding a single program
- From anywhere in the system, click the Programs tab in the main menu on the left of your screen.
- On the Programs hub, locate Quick Program Lookup and enter the program id or the full title of the program. See below.
- If you know the program ID type that in to ensure that the system finds only a single program as program id's are unique. However if you typed in a program title, then the system may identify more than one program that meets the criteria. In that case, you will see a drop down list of option and you must click on one, and you will be taken to the program home page.
Finding one or more programs via the full search
- From the dashboard, click on the Programs tab.
- Click on the Search for Programs button .
- From the search filters panel, select New Search use the drop-down boxes to determine your search criteria, for example: Name contains "tax." If you do not see the search filters panel, click the button marked "Search filters" at the top of the table. See below.
- To add more search criteria, click the + or x icons to add or delete criteria.
- Results will appear in the search results section. The results should paginate properly if there are a lot of them.
- To narrow the amount of results, continue to use the filter box to filter down to a smaller set of options.
- When you find the program you want, you should be able to click on the View button in that program's line in the results to go to that program's home page.
Saving a search
- To save your search criteria Click on the Save Filter button at the bottom of the search filter column. Enter a name for it in the Save Search As field located that will appear.
- Click the Save button.
To re-use a saved search
- From the upper left part of the screen, locate and click on the Saved Searches Tab.
- Click on the name of the saved search you wish to recall.
- The system will run a new search according to the criteria you saved.
- If, in the time since you saved the original search, a new program has been added to the system that meets the search criteria, then that new program should also show up in the search results when you run the saved search.
