Program Groups Report


This report displays data on program groups (learning paths, learning tracks, and series). Each row represents a different program group. You can click on the program group's ID to drill into the report and obtain data on the users and sessions enrolled in that program group.

To run the report

  1. From anywhere in the administrative area, click Reports.
  2. From the Reports list choose Program Groups.
  3. Choose the company from the drop down menu.
  4. By default, the report will look at all catalogs and universities, but you can filter on particular catalogs and/or universities in their respective drop down menus.
  5. Additionally, the report will list all types of program groups, but you can filter it to a particular type (series, learning path, learning track, etc) using the Group Types drop down.
  6. You can change the time period using the calendar icon next to the From and To date selection controls, by typing new dates into the respective boxes, or by selecting a time period from the Period drop down.
    1. Unlike other reports, the From and To dates are not mandatory. You can select Null to look at all dates.
  7. If you want a report that includes only one particular program group, enter the program group's ID (located on the program group's home page) in the field marked Program Group Id. If you use this field, data you enter in the other fields will be ignored and only data associated with that particular program group will be returned.
  8. Click View Report to generate the report.
  9. You can export the report by clicking the floppy disc icon. Reports can be exported to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, TIFF, MHTML (web archive), CSV (comma delimited), XML or as a Data Feed.

You will first see an overview of all reports that meet your search criteria. If you just typed in a specific program group ID, then you will see only one row in this view. See below.

To see the specific components of the group, click on the program group ID value.

In the detail view, each row represents one user's enrollment per session that is a component of the program group.

Interpreting the report

The program groups report keeps track of the status of users who have enrolled in the program group and also lists additional user info and program group component info. Please note that the main screen of the report will reflect users who are enrolled, in-progress, and have completed sessions attached to the program group; these users may not necessarily be enrolled in the program group.

When you click on the program group ID you will have the ability to review a breakdown of users who have enrolled in the program group. You will also see each user's status for the component sessions within that program group.

If a user enrolls in a session that happens to also belong to a program group, then that user is not included in the breakdown report; however, the user's enrollment would be tracked on the main page of the program groups report under the Enrolled column. In other words, to use a McDonald’s analogy, only people who purchased a Big Mac meal are displayed in the "Big Mac Meal" breakdown report; people who purchase only a "Big Mac" (sandwich only) are not included.
